So she worked for USF since 1981 and the athletic department since 2004....and they are now just getting around to firing her for being black?!?

She ran afoul of that 3 strikes rule for non-contract employees.  Third write-up in 2010.  The first two were in 2006. Maybe USF will change that rule so that after 2 years the write up comes off your record. 

Will probably end up with her getting her pension.

too bad, she doesn't deserve it.

11 months from retirement, they should have let her resign with her pension in tact.  I understand a 3 strike rule, but the players obviously felt indebted to her and it doesn't seem like her offense was hugely major or widespread, seemed like an oversight as she thought a kid was on scholarship.  If I were USF, I'd settle out of court and let her have her pension.

BTW, while I don't agree that it is discrimination, I don't blame her for filing a suit on that behalf.  She gets three categories going for her.  Age, Race, and being a Female.  And being so close to retirement age for her pension, she should try at least to get that - why not.  But again doubtful that it is discrimination, clearly she has had 2 other issues in the past and this was a 3rd and USF must have rules that regardless of circumstances after xx times they will let you go.  Too bad though, sounds like she was really liked by the athletes and helped them out.

Selfish person not taking responsibility for her actions, and now wants to bring down other people she felt did the same.

Agreed with previous poster, if the issue was racial why did it take the University 29 years (1981-2010) to find a way to dismiss her?  I find her previous violations including a reprimand with the comment "Final Warning" to be a far more important and logical reason for her dismissal.

Maybe DoJo can send her some of his stacks since he is indebted to her.  Funny, but she was told specifically by Coach that the kid was NOT on scholarship and she failed to recover the books.  Now, I agree that it seems minor, and we self reported so should not be an issue, but had the history of this, as stated by Woolard in her evaluation, caused us to have an NCAA violation we would all be blaming the school for not doing anything.

Sounds to me though like she is about to go shotfgunning accusation all over the school.

I know this sounds crazy and I may be going out on a limb here, but why don't people just wait until they have all of the facts before judging someone as either guilty or innocent?
