So, from reading the reviews, we will need to either eat before we go or bring food in with us?  Someone noted that they had pizza delivered to the place.  Pizza and beer.  Mmmmmmmmm.

Two of us (in case you need a head count) will see you there around 7:00.

They do serve food, the bar tender said they had a full food menu in addition to beer. I'm still trying to get a hold of the manager.

7PM is the official time to arrive and hope to have a table or two reserved to avoid a wait.

No just ask for the "Bullspen" table... assuming of course I can get the manager on the phone and reserve a table or 2.

I spoke with the manager and a few other managers and here is the deal...

They nor any other pub in Gainesville will hold a table, nor will they give any deals... I was not expecting deals, but was at least expecting one of them to hold a table or two.

Thus we will need to figure out what our next step should be. From what I have heard the places on a pre-game day Friday fill up at 5:30PM which might be too early for most to get down to grab a table. I know it would be pushing it for us.

Any ideas?

My group wants to have a dinner snack at El Indio before we hit the pubs, so I'm not planning to eat at Stubbies anyway.  I'm expecting to arrive at the pub around 8pm, so tables are not important to me.  As long as there are Bulls there, I'm fine standing, hanging at the bar or around high tops.

In any event, thanks for working that end, Dixie.

well guess we can just take over their space and not buy their beer, we just bring 100 people in and stand around

Well my wife and I will be causing trouble around campus around mid-day... we have a hit list of places to checkout before heading over for the Friday night kegger. We will probably start heading over to Stubbies around 6:00 or so and will try to get there around 6:30-45PM.

We will do our best to grab a table large enough for what seems to be, by my count thus far, 12 people?? If not then we will grab what we can and as people leave we will grow our table. Never been here so I'm going in blind.

However if anyone gets here before we do then just ask for a table for 12 and call it the "Bullspen" table, that way when Bulls show up they will know how to find us and figure out if they are the first ones on the scene.

So if someone beats me here remember:

(1). Table for 12-15 Bulls

(2). Tell the waitress that more are coming

(3). Tell the waitress that its "theBullspen" table

(4). Get busy  :drinkup
