You do realize you started out saying - "I'm a better fan than most of the student body, but athletics won't help me get a ticket...":

... I guarantee that I care more about USF athletics than 95% of USF's student body. ... I've talked to USF ticket staff, and they haven't really said anything useful.

It sounded a bit arrogant and, well, rather whiney.

Yes, some people did help... but you should not be surprised at the other reactions.
