Haha, I *always* get them confused. Amp Lee was an NFL receiver, Amp Hill transferred from LSU to USF. Amp Hill's legacy is a dropped two-point conversion that would have tied it late in USF's first loss to Rutgers, in 2006.

there is an Amp ......Something....that is a WR in the NFL right now.  but its not Amp Lee.

Good list Normal, you beat me to it.  Don't forget Dejuan Green the RB from UGA....who was a top RB in HS in FL in the late 90's.  No one can forget Dejuan for that amazing overtime TD run against Cinci in the Halloween night game in the 2003 season.  He wasn't wildly prolific, but that game and run alone puts him in USF lore!  We had almost no offensive production that night-- no QB that season and w were running Fisher at QB in that game, and the game tied at like 14-14 after we blocked a last second FG of Cinci's...but that run won it!

The first couple years were loaded with transfers like Bret Avery from RU, LaFann Williams from Pitt, Maurice Tucker from Indi, Ced Tate from Duke, don't forget Elgin Hicks too who had quite a last few years at USF after transfering here from UF-- and he was highly sought after coming out of HS too...not quite Platt, but he was the precursor to PLatt at Punta Gorda.

USF has had some famous burn outs but overall have done pretty well relatively speaking with transfers.  Many of our transfers were taken in the interest of getting better quicker, and many hold many records at our University.
