Just played my first online game USF vs Iowa.  I was about to kick the game winning field goal in the closing seconds and then I get opponent is not connected message.  What a crock, now my online record is 0-1.  Is this normal for online opponents to quit if they think or know they are going to lose?

You get a loss because your opponent disconnected?  If that's the case, just disconnect as soon as you take the lead.

Sadly, yes, it's a fairly common occurence

That's why I have never gone and played anyone online.

If you go to Create Custom Match you can narrow your opponents to those players who have DNF%(Did Not Finish Percentage) down to like 10%. That way you'll get people who are more likely to finish the entire game because they arent dicks. But not always.

you guys are confused.

when u play online and your OPPONENT disconnects... you can choose to either finish the game and take the W OR you can quit and count the stats without getting a W.

if there was a disconnect and you dont receive a message asking what you'd like to do.... then it means that YOU have actually disconnected from the game.
