Not to mention you want to be a big time program but you are giving away 2-1s like candy.  Big time programs do not do 2-1s, this is small time thinking.  If you want to be big time act big time, we only do 1-1s with anyone and everyone.  You said give 2-1s for top 30 programs, WE ARE a top 30 program the past 3-4 years so you want to give programs our equals 2-1s???  Sun belt programs don't even do 2-1s any more, most of them are demanding 1-1s or a huge payday.

We are nowhere near a top 30 program.

You can't finish in 7th place in the BE and consider yourself a top 30 program.

We sign 1 for 1's with Western Kentucky. That's not big time.

We have never ever finished 7th in BE.  We were tied for 4th in BE last yr, befor that we finished in 3rd or tied for 3rd several times.

I'm sorry I was mistaken. We were 6th in the BE in 08-09. I just assumed since we lost to 1-6 UofL that we finished behind them.

In 1988 Miami played AP end of year ranked

#1 Notre Dame

#3 FSU

#4 Michigan

#10 Nebraska

#12 Arkansas

#19 LSU

They only show top 20.

That's 6 top 20 teams with the top 3 ranked teams other than themselves at #2.

You can be content with our football team playing basketball schools for no other reason than revenue but you can give me a schedule full of football schools as an independent any day.
