Texas is playing coy, trying to get the Pac10, B12, B10, and SEC into a bidding war.

The BigEast should make a VERY PUBLIC offer to Texas to join, mocking their coy posture.

Do you think USF should go to the big 12 if Texas stays??  Of course it would all depend on an invite, but I think the league would be stable, if all of them agreed to stay together as big 12 members.

This is the same reason I think the RU => Big 10 is not a sure thing.  If the Big East could pull some top Big 12 leftovers, the city/market coverage of the combined new BE would be huge.  No way Rutgers leaves a conference that big.

Big 10 money blows away Big East money.  If Rutgers gets an invite, they would change conferences so fast Schiano would get whiplash.

That will keep the BE together for the most part.  Unless the big 10 gets crazy and takes 3 big east schools (I don't think they will).  If we lose Rutgers memphis with their 10 mil contract a year that they will bring will take their spot.

well it looks like orangebloods struck out on this one.  I guess a .900 batting average is still pretty good, but it is not a done deal yet.
