I also know of a girl in Riverview, who had been accepted to Duke, Florida and a couple other excellent academic schools who despite scoring well on her SATs and ACT she could pass a certain part of the FCAT.

i find that extraordinarily hard to believe... if someone is accepted to Duke they should be able to ace the FCAT with a half hearted effort

So do you think I am making it up? It sounded crazy to me as well but apparently she was not just an isolated case. It's been happening all over the state.

It was a front page story in the Tribune and got some television coverage. There are many who teachers who don't agree with the changes in teaching that FCAT has brought about.

nah i'd hope you wouldnt waste time making that up, but for someone to get accepted to Duke they would prob need about a 1300 or so on the SAT and someone that can do that well on the SAT should pass the FCAT with ease and no preparation at all.  I have taken the SAT, ACT, FCAT all within the last 5 yrs and the FCAT was very easy in comparison to the others IMO

The FCAT was a joke.  There is no way you could score high on the SAT and bomb the FCAT.

We still have a good chance of landing another top flight Juco, plus we are loaded at running back ...

Hall

Henderson

Ponton

Copeland (is he not coming back?)

already on the roster

Jones would have been nice, but we will be fine.

Copeland's gone.  He's transferring.
