I joked about the Giants taking JPP since all we do is take freak athlete DE's. I finally get to get a Giants/Bulls jersey! (Missed out on the Kawika year)

It really is a great place for him to go. He will have a season, and probably closer to 3, to develope. He has nowhere near the expectations as the late Gaines Adams.

I will be getting the Pierre-Paul Giants jersey when they are ready. It doesn't look like the Giants had a guy on the roster who wore #90 last season, but I won't jump the gun.

as a giants fan, i love the usf-giants connection and i love the fact the giants got him, but i think our needs were at other positions.  i thought this may have shown the giants' hand in wanting to trade osi, but jerry said that they weren't trading him.  jerry has a strong philosophy of taking the best player avilable (up-side taken into account), so that could be why they wanted him.  either way, i trust jerry to make the right move and it's awesome to have have him!

why would giant fans hate the pick

Because not every Giants fan is a USF fan. And some (including myself) felt there were bigger needs elsewhere. They keep claiming Usy isnt getting traded, but I wouldnt be shocked if we pick up a 2nd rounder today.

The Giants needed help all over the D. Their pass rush was non existent last season. LB should be addressed today.

Maybe they will also draft MLB Kion Wilson in a later round.

:2cents My backwoods philosophy on the NFL Draft and the Bulls:

I'm a rapid Bulls, Dolphins, and Lightning fan... with that said I'm loyal to only those teams... since JPP is now a NY Giant I can no longer follow or route for him.

because that Dolphins/Giants rivalry is so heated.   :-\

Im a Jets fan who doesnt really care for the Giants and I will root for JPP all day.

My Giant fan buddies are all excited. they keep talking about backflips, but backflips dont sack qbs.

JPP has the ability and athetic build to be a great one, but so did Vernon Gholston and look how thats turning out.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
