Maybe we switch FULLTIME to the white helmets.

What's the problem?

Look at the past history of big major football programs. Do you think FSU or UF have been rocking the same helmet since day 1? FSU's changed their helmet NUMEROUS times.

Ya know what one of the first things Bowden did when he took over the Seminoles?

I think its really classy that Holtz asked the players what they want, it gives them a feeling of ownership of their program.

Both games we have played SU at RJS have been at noon. Fortunately, they should be our only noon game this year. FAU, WKU and Stoney Brook should all be 7:30 PM starts, Rutgers is already a Wednesday night game at 7pm and I doubt the Pitt or UConn games will be at noon. So why not put Cuse in Orange and wear white for a hot Oct 9th noon kickoff. Not that it helped FSU last year.  ;D

While I am a fan of USF Gold, I am not at all a fan of USF Green.  It's a hideous looking dark shade of green that doesn't look all that great as part of our overall uniform. 

I think the players prefer the white uniform because the contrast between the green and white is far more appealing than the contrast between the green and gold.  If it were a choice between USF Green and Gold or USF Green and White, I would side with the players' vote and go with Green and White. 

Honestly, I don't understand some of you guys' attachment to our jersey schemes.  Let's be frank here, we don't have any tradition in regards to our uniforms.  A little change might even improve our record.

I just got back from talking with Coach Holtz at an alum event here in Tallahassee.  I had a gold mini-helmet for him to sign, and he asked me what color helmet I preferred.  I told him white, but that I liked the gold, too.  He grinned and told me that he took a poll of the players when he arrived earlier this year and that they really wanted the white helmets.  So, they're making the switch to white helmets for regular use, i.e. for most if not all games next year. 

Fire Skip Holtz then.  Screw this man, worry about the freaking X-O and leave wardrobe to someone else.  I swear I will start the drive if he ditches OUR gold helmets.  That is USF, we are NOT Green and freaking WHITE.. We look like a Pop Warner team with those crap ass practice hats on.

In regards to the white helmets, we still have not worn them in the ALL WHITE combination which in my opinion is the best combination for the white helmets. I think Penn State and Texas do that look well, it would be nice if we could get some noon game against someone like Syracuse and set it as a White Out.

Know why these look good?  The school colors are WHITE and Blue/orange etc.  This is like saying Penn State looks good in all Gold.. Why? they are BLue and White?  Why the hell would we wear a white uniform?  It is idiotic.

All of you that complain that white is not one of colors, the gold that we currently use for our helmets is not one of our colors.  For that matter, we have black on our helmet (no green) and uniforms.
