The people of FSU, Miami, Arizona St, UNC, LSU, Ole Miss, Texas, Arkansas, etc etc etc are all laughing at you.

That's  not a very large group, they would  probably all fit in in the lower bowl of the RJ with room so spare!!!....besides why should I care what they think of me?

No ****. But there's a difference between being a niche and a "joke" or "sad".

Actually, I was saying that college baseball is a joke (which it is). And, that fact is sad because it shouldn't be the case.

Attendance sometimes baffles me.  USF is a school with 40,000 + students and about 20 - 30 show up for baseball games (at least the ones that sit together as a group).  Most times going to the baseball games is like going to Little League games in that it is mostly family and friends of the players. It's a great night out when the weather cooperates.

I was pretty proud of having one BE basketball team reaching the Elite 8.  Occasionally even a blind squirrel....

Agreed.

You should support your team/school no matter what sport or event it is.

Do you go to every event held by USF?

Uh-oh.  I smell an "I'm a better fan than you" hijacking occurring.

I don't think it is an "I am better than you" situation. It is the simple fact that Ayo is terrible at his job and doesn't understand how to get students out to games. Students only go if there is something in it for them or the team is winning. That is the difficulty with baseball right now. We aren't having a great year out of conference which people don't understand. Plus, we are notorious for not playing well at the beginning of the year and mid-week games, but we are strong in conference.

Win games+Marketing doing their job=Students at games.

Wow college baseball is a joke?

Why because they score runs and the games are under 3 hours?

Or is it because you like those big league games where they throw a pitch evey minute or so and a quick game is 3 hours

approximately 46% of major league players played college baseball

I highly suggest that if you don't come out to games already, try coming out. Especially on Friday and Saturday nights when there is a bigger crowd, the atmosphere can be quite fun. There is a good group of students and it is a good time.

Chill I wans't calling you out for being a bad fan.

I was just saying I agreed with Ricky about coming out and supporting USF in as many sports as possible.

Even though I have attended and abundace football/basketball/soccer/volleyball/baseball games this year.  ::)

I mean you're never gonna get to go in this games for free ever again.

Why not enjoy taking advantage of it?

If someone's point was that college baseball is a "joke" because of quality of play, I don't agree.  Went to see the USF game on Tuesday and to see the Rays on Wednesday.

The umpires on both levels pretty much s*ck.  There seems to be a larger strike zone in college.  But the zone is as consistent as it is in the majors.

The advantages to USF baseball for me:

1. Closer by 35 miles than the Trop.

2. It is outdoor baseball and real grass.

3. Concessions are a bit cheaper, especially if you hit a Dollar Dog game.

4. Free parking (we actually had free parking at the Trop because there were 4 of us. ($15 otherwise).

5. Closer to the action, get to meet some of the player's families.

The only real disadvantage are the d*%n metal bats.  Been going to Bulls baseball for a couple years now and still can't get used to it.

But for the most part the games are pretty well played and usually quicker than the majors.

And the final added bonus of buying season tickets to USF baseball is it is the cheapest way to get a couple extra priority points.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
