If anything, why not just add a couple more play-in games and just bring the total up to 70 or something like that if they want to expand?

Its amazing they are willing to modify something that is so perfect already... but unwilling to modify something that totally screwy.

It is part of the administrations plan to help those teams that are weak.  Not only is expanding to 96 teams better, you now have fewer teams dissapointed they missed the bubble, but the top 8 seeds are going to be forced to each send two players to the bottom seeded teams in an effort to create a more balanced bracket. 

Teams that win by more than 20 will have to start the next game giving up half the differential to the new opponent.

And, coaches will be assigned teams via a lottery once the 96 teams are anounced.
