Tom Veit is pretty much it, he did have an assistant but she left about a month or so ago.

I wonder who does the Storm's marketing?

same people that do the Lightning's marketing...

I still like my idea from a few years back: just take out an ad on the interstate simply listing the home schedule. The implicit message in listing a home schedule of West Virginia, Louisville, etc. is that big-time college football is played at RJS. Let our product sell itself.

That is the one job I would love to work hand and hand with Tom Veit... let me handle the student promotion side of business, and let him relate to the more affluent adult crowd. My lease ends in June out here and I wouldn't think twice about jumping ship back to Tampa. I've applied for jobs out here with ASU with hopes to eventually catch a marketing assistant gig so they would take me serious back at USF.

I think the hardest part of getting a job with USF marketing would be for THEM to forget my college crazy experiences at USF and let me actually perform as a professional. I don't know if they would ever differentiate between the two... but thank Gd someone out here has given me that opportunity. Who ever thought I would end up teaching high school kids... exactly! Knowing when and when not to be responsible is something I have experience in.

The FANS have a great responsibility to popularize the BULLS as well... If I said it once, I said it a thousand times, Wear a USF shirt to work, Buy a USF tag for your car, Gather a group to go to the sporting events, Stickers, Posters, Watch parties, Get involved !!! ENTHUSIASM IS CONTAGIOUS !!!

Her and Tom really didn't get along to well, she left and got some other job outside of athletics.

Terry,

You should email Veit and offer your services.  Your excitement over the program is contagious and you'd be ideal in getting things organized on the student side.

In case they haven't noticed, there's a very nice business school across the street that has a marketing department filled with professors and students who, I'm sure, can help the program on an idea front.

Hey, give the marketing majors a project where they have X dollars to spend and need to come up with a media plan to target those potential fans.

1) USF now has games televised by the SUNSHINE NETWORK. This helps with state recruiting because it will showcase our programs throughout the state.

Plus.

Now if we can JUST get a broadcast team thats worth a **** and some production value in the telecasts, and we'll have something here...

2) USF is showing the replays of games on BrightHouse Networks channel 47. For years, I have been wanted a station that would do this besided that WUSF-TV crap.

Definite plus.

Not everyone is at home on saturday nights to watch the game live.

Sunday mornings would be an ideal time to replay all games....along with weeknight replays.

 

4) USF made the change to a better radio station that comes in more clear than the old 1010am.

This guy obviously lives within the 4 mile radius of the stadium that 570 almost reaches.

5) USF games can be heard over the internet, so that all the out of town USF fans can listen to the games. That was needed for a long time. I am willing to bet that this will help keep alumni interested in USF.

Definite plus.

6) USF made a change to a better logo to brand the product better.

Now if we can get them to change the football uniforms much the same way that they changed the basketball uniforms, we'll be in business...

I wouldnt mind buying a replica jersey....wait a min, unlike UF, FSU, and UM, we dont sell those....
