2005-2006 BE mirror games

Flipping channels and caught a bit of the Notre Dame - Depaul game.  Heard the announcers say that ND's 3 BE mirror games were set for next year as Depaul, Pitt and another - had kids yelling and did not catch it.

Have any BE AD's or officials spilled the beans on the mirror games?  Apparantly ND has.  I think we need Howie's searching talent to see what he can find.

Maybe Brett or Greg can now find out who our mirror games are for next year from the AD's office.

Repeat opponents in the Big East will be determined yearly by the league’s office with advice from ESPN, which will be looking for attractive TV matchups. Existing rivalries and geography will also be taken into account.

Can't wait to see the schedule, since I'll be living just outside the BE territory and plan to attend both bball and football as often as possible.

Big East, 2005 or Conference USA, 2001? Personally, I'm sick and tired of ESPN telling us who to play and when.

Each Big East team is matched up yearly with three other conference opponents which they then play both at home and away each year, and those are called "mirror" games. C-USA did something similar.

I don't see USF getting any marquee opponent out of the mirror games...I'm thinking along the lines of Rutgers, Providence & Seton Hall.

Good.

We'll be playing enough marquee teams in the Big East as it is, and I'd rather have some easier opponents to get some wins.

Any mirror games we get in NY, NJ, & Conn area will also help with our recruiting the Northeast.

You know you are going to be in a very good conference when you can say that Rutgers, Providence, and Seton Hall will be the easiest. LOL. Those are some tough games either way you look at it. I would not be surprised if MARQUETTE is one of our mirror games because of the history.

Yeah, you would think at least 2 of our 3 would be the CUSA teams just because of history and maintaining the old BE rivalries.
