out of curiosity, did Grothe he run the offense under center or from the gun?

I watched Grothe line up behind center, and he was pretty amazing with how he performed. He reminded me of a Brett Favre type of QB. He has done some pretty good ball fakes that even the announcers cant believe. Grothe is a winner.  The sooner he is at USF the better we are.  Not taking anything away from Carlton Hill or Denson, but I think Grothe has what it takes to take USF to the next level.

Unfortunately I watched him from the other sidelines and he did it all: under center, shot gun, running and throwing.  And that was as a sophomore.

On our QB's, Denson's a great athlete, but still trying to work off the rust at QB- very rusty i hear

grothe should start immediately.i would promise him the position if needed to land him

why redshirt him? that is like fiddling  while rome is burning/

let midgett go somewhere else.we don't need gator rejects.we need guys who can play qb positon next year not in 2006.

I'm sorry, you just can't hand the starting QB job to Grothe or Denson or anyone else for that matter.  It still has to be earned.

Matt is very athletic, he made a couple of bad decisions in the state game, but he was scrambling from pressure most of the day anyways.  If he can prove himself in the fall then he should have the job.

hope we are talking to other qb's would hate to put all eggs in one basket!

the other qb do not have to be top flight guy's just sevicable that can be developed to solid qb's so we are not left with PJ as the ONLY alternative!
