How long before a USF Player wins the Heisman??  How long before we even have a guy invited to NY that would considered in the top 5?

PS: Congrats to Matt Leinart, I would have voted for Peterson

That's what we said about USF football back in the day!

Have faith!

'fair nuff...40 years to get a team,  tack on an additional 40 years to succeed...let's see, that would mean .... just after my 87th birthday.

I think a USF player can get invited just like other schools such as UCF, MARSHALL, TCU, and UTAH have. Those schools were/are not well known at all to the whole nation. I just think that it will take some good marketing on USF's part to make that happen. I really do hope that USF sets up a website for Andre Hall next season just like they did for Marquel Blackwell. What USF will need to do is go 10-1 or 11-0 to help Andre Hall's chances. Stranger things have happened.

Flashback:

Central Florida quarterback Dante Culpepper is arguably the best athlete in the country. The strong-armed and fleet-footed senior connected on 238-of-381 pass attempts (62.5 percent) for 3,086 yards last season, while rushing for 438 yards and five scores. Culpepper threw 25 touchdowns with only 10 interceptions and accounted for 63.7 percent of Central Florida's offensive production. Culpepper has gotten considerably better in each of his three seasons at UCF and has worked hard on his technique and fundamentals since arriving on the Orlando campus. NFL legend Joe Namath told college football writers that Culpepper has the best footwork and release he's seen since Dan Marino.

Coming from a small school, he's definitely an underdog. But if Heisman voters think of him like Namath does, he could pull the shock of the century.
