Well...we upset Pitt (I think the blind pig analogy works here) but got pummelled by Utah, lost to Memphis, but really showed Liberty who was boss.

Then in '02 we lost to Oklahoma & Arkansas, but beat Bowling Green & Florida Atlantic.

'03 rolls around and we get pounded by 'Bama and manage to pull off three double-overtime wins (L'ville, Cincy and that CUSA powerhouse East Carolina).

Sooo...I'd say that '02 was our best year...but doesn't really count for much as we had no conference affiliation at the time.

What's happened since then? We've gone through some of the growing pains that all schools go through.  I look at the OOC games as barometers of how good USF really is (was).  Truthfully, the handwriting was on the wall when we had to play ECU to triple-overtime.

I dont think he was trying to get into a pissing match. I think he was just stating in general, that as bad as our season has been, we are still not terrible. It looks like a slam on UCF, but it is just honestly. I think BOTH sides have to agree that both seasons have been a dissapointment.

i agree we have not played well out of conference against BCS conferences.

hopefully this coaching staff will be prepared for next season.

I hope denson is as good as advertised....boy do we need help.
