USF Men’s Soccer Honored NSCAA/adidas Academic Award  

TAMPA, Fla. (Nov. 30, 2004) - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced today that the University of South Florida men’s soccer team is one of the honorees of the Men’s College Team Academic Award, making this the second time the team has received the honor (last in 2002).

The award is given to a team that had a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2003-04 academic year. The Bulls posted a team grade point average of 3.18, and they were the only Conference USA team to receive the academic honor. A total of 363 intercollegiate soccer programs (73 men, 290 women) earned the award.

Evidently, we have some very smart soccer players and they will have learned from threir mistakes and be a top contender in the Big East next year.
