No disrespect, IB, but you are 100% correct that it's a waste of time. All you're doing by being there is feeding their delusions about a rivalry. Nothing you can say will change the minds of the myriad of assclowns they have over there (unless something has changed there in the last few years) .... You're basically just pissing up a rope.  8-)

umm...we do have a rivalry with UCF.  like it or not.  our fans hate them and their fans obviously hate us.  plus we are 45 minutes apart from each other.

face it, the only reason our fans try to take the 'high and mighty' we have no rivalry is because they arent in a BCS conf. 

sure, we own them in most sports so they arent really a very competitive rival but the fans obviously feel that way.

Riiiight .... You were at the game Wednesday night. Did you feel any hate from our fans for them? If it was a REAL rivalry, don't you think we'd have had more fans there than them ? Do you think in a REAL rivalry that loser with the Leavitt t-shirt would have made it to halftime? Most just laughed at him ... If I recall correctly, we returned tickets to the last game at the BHNFP. Think that happens in a REAL rivalry so close together?

Bottom line is, and you alluded to it with the BCS reference up there, true rivalry games are played with something significant at stake ... inter-state pride, intra-state domination, conference championships, national prestige, etc .... Hometown/sibling bragging rights and Internet smack talk make up a pretty weak foundation for a rivalry ..... If they join a BCS conference, though, it's a whole new ballgame...
