for what it is worth...i am willing to beat that 80% of the UCF students are tampa residents.

or atleast in the tampa area.

and yes, they were more organized than our students and were louder.

but we did have more students.  ours were just spread out over 4 sections..not all crammed into 1.

i give our students a pass for not showing up but the ones that did....were VERY quiet.

the just like football chant was lame.  they didnt get on ANY of the UCF players.  even the guy who tried to dunk and got bricked by the rim then fell staight on his back.

That was me and the band alumni.  We yell louder than the entire student section the entire game.

Hear that screeching high pitched yell in the dome tonight.  That was us RIGHT AT THE UCF players.  AND coach Speraw...

You could TELL that UCF made an EFFORT to get their students at the game tonight...lol.  AND have them ORGANIZED!  lol

Not to start a pissing match or anything, but our small group over at half-court was screaming the whole game as well and heckling their cry-baby midget most of the game. Everyone always sounds louder when they stand right next to you, just don't forget to give credit where credit is due.

I've finally given up on complaining about the students showing up to the games cause you can't force them to go. What I will take issue with is the students who show up and don't get involved at all. The two student sections on the floor were pretty much full but you would have thought the majority of them were in a lecture hall and weren't allowed make any noise.

It was pretty embarrassing to have our team booed when they came out for warm-ups and then for the crowd to be louder in favor of the visitor than the home team, save for a couple of big baskets and the final minute of the game.

You may not care about basketball, but if you're going to take the time to go to the game, take some pride in your University and don't let the visiting teams fans take over our building........and this goes for students and non-students alike because for the number of people that were there, the building was pretty much dead from the USF standpoint.
