Is he?

Seems no one else is reporting it at this time.  Did CFN jump the gun?

To the "Fire Jim Leavitt" crowd:  Just know that this is what happens when coaches get a taste of success in the Big East.  We are the coaching farm system.

it has been confirmed...he's gone and not coaching in the Sugar Bowl either

I have to say that is pretty lame.  I hope UC can do what WVU did when Bich Rod left but we'll see.

ummm.....no

leavitt already turned down the big "upcoming coach" run when he turned down alabama and turned down the k state job.

either way, we are light years ahead of Cincy in terms of facilities and fanbase.  as sad as that sounds.

plus leavitt is making more than kelly was making.  and if you havent noticed...kelly is a media hound...leavitt and kelly are polar opposites.  leavitt would hate his life if he was the coach at a big program and had to actually devote as much media time as kelly will have to spend.

not to mention that kelly has only been at cincy for what....3 years...not many roots there.

leavitt is the type of guy that probably has a hard time spending the money that we pay him as it is.  i dont see him to be a big material possession type guy.  he doesnt have any kids.  i know he is married so that helps him spend the money.  but i dont think money or media is a big factor to leavitt so i am not worried about him getting pulled away when he has success.

your post still baffles me.  are we supposed to be glad we arent having success so that we can keep our coach?  id rather win 1 big east title and go undefeated and play the gators in a BCS and then lose our coach then go 7-5 and play in canada.....

Im listening to marty gilyard talk about this whole situaton and he is pissed. I think brian kelly needs to stay way from marty because he might get knocked out. Don't know what radio show this is but their ging indepth about the whole situation. Supposidly BK waked into the tea awards banquet with security and in marty's words "all hollywod"... I think this is really messed up that Brian left his team out to like this right before they play the defending national champs... Thank God we didnt have him as our coach

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
