Eastern Michigan & Niagara just played, but I don't know who won. The winner will take on USF for the Championship tomorrow.

EMU is going to be a good test to guage how good USF really is:

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL PICKED AS PRESEASON FAVORITE TO WIN THE MAC WEST DIVISION AND TOURNAMENT: EMU's women's basketball team has been picked to repeat as the Mid-American Conference's West Division and Tournament champions by the voting members of the MAC News Media Association. The announcement was made in Cleveland today as part of the conference's women's basketball Media Day, Oct. 20. Release (PDF).

Eastern Michigan won. So tomorrow at 2 pm its EMU vs LADY BULLS for the championship! How bout we come out and support these girls they can light it up shooting and are playing hard, but yet no one ever shows. Go LadyBulls!!!

EMU beat Niagara 62-53.

Niagara did even better against Syracuse losing 62-57.  :o

USF Hands It To St. Francis, 94-53, In First Round Of Best Western Roundball Classic

Tampa, FL (Nov. 27, 2004) – The USF women’s basketball team won its fourth straight game Saturday afternoon defeating St. Francis College (NY), 94-53, in the first round of the Best Western Roundball Classic.

The 41-point win was the Bulls largest margin of victory since beating Morris Brown by 70 points, 124-54, on November 30, 2001.

USF (5-1) looked to be in for a game leading by just six points (29-23) with six minutes and six second left in the first half. The Bulls, however, would close the first half on a 16-6 run and never looked back.

USF came out of the locker room with the same intensity as when it went in, using a 16-3 run through the first six minutes of the second half. The Bulls would shoot a blistering 56.3% (18-32) from the field in the stanza while holding the Terriers to a dismal 17.2% (5-28) from the field in the in the half.

The “Green and Gold†placed six players in double figures led by Nalini Miller (Capital Heights, MD) and her game high 22 points. Anedra Gilmore (Jacksonville, FL) came just short of a triple-double with 15 points, nine assists, and seven steals.

Also in double digits for the Bulls was Alana Tanksley (Acworth, GA) with 12 points, Rachael Sheats (Marietta, GA) with 11, and Jessica Dickson (Ocala, FL) and Chanae Early (Atlanta, GA) with 10 points

apiece.

Tiffany Hill scored a team high 21 points for St. Francis (1-2) in the loss.

USF now advances to the championship game of the tournament where it faces Eastern Michigan (3-0). The Eagles defeated Niagara (1-2) 62-53 in the other first round match up.
