yes true..but we don't deserve a bowl game, and luckily for us ND lost - so Gator Bowl back in play for good. Otherwise...we lose against UConn - and who knows....if we do lose 7-6 - we don't even deserve a bowl game. Good thing the st pete bowl was formed last year. IMO too many teams get bowl games.

Even if ND had won, the Little Caeser's (formerly Motor City), GMAC and Eagle Bank will all have an opening which will need to be filled.

As for deserving a bowl, half of the teams playing do not deserve a bowl game.  Lord knows we could use the 15 extra practices.
