I would love to watch a Bulls game where we actually out-coach the opponent. Sadly it will never happen with the current staff.

i think we are playing ok but...we needed to be playing above and beyond to have a chance in this game.

This is a true measure of how close we are as a program relative to "elite" status...back to the drawing board.

We've already seen the last five years that we can't even hang in the Big East, which is the consensus weakest BCS conference. Why should we think we could hang with Miami? FSU was a fluke, just as Auburn, Kansas, etc. were. Watching performances like at Pitt, like today, shows that. Someone in another thread mentioned needing to not just win the occasional game we shouldn't, but to consistently win (every game we should and a lot that we shouldn't). And we don't. And we can't.

Man, it stinks watching your alma mater get spanked.    

We are nowhere near elite status. We're not even in good/great status.

I think what we have seen since  we were ranked #2 is that we really are a team that is about at the level of a good non-bcs team.  Our offense works when we play leser athletes.  We are a lot further away than 2 years from being competitive in anything.  My guess is we won't be ranked for at least 4 or 5 years.

I don't expect USF to win every game, but at least be competative. UM's pass defense has been suspect all year, and what does the coaching staff do?  Read-option.
