today proved to me that they are not Natl. Title worthy with that defense... Their defense gives up over 30 to a really bad ILLINI  and i think 40 to UCONN.

If all of the above mentioned teams lose, the only other eligible alternatives would be the BYU/Utah winner and 3 loss Cal(if they beat Washington).

If all of the above mentioned teams lose, the only other eligible alternatives would be the BYU/Utah winner and 3 loss Cal(if they beat Washington).

Any of the 3 would be taken first

Cincy brought something like 15,000-20,000 to the Orange Bowl last year.

I wonder if this swings the Gator Bowl door back open for USF. Make the following assumptions:

- Notre Dame loses to Stanford and takes themselves out of the running at 6-6

- Cincinnati beats Pittsburgh

- USF wins their last two games

A 9-3 USF team compared to 9-3 Pittsburgh or 9-3 West Virginia might look good from a ticket-selling perspective. And the conference records would allow it.
