Jones Selected to Charleston Classic All-Tournament Team

TAMPA – After averaging 20.7 points and 7.7 rebounds in three games, University of South Florida junior guard Dominique Jones was selected to the Charleston Classic All-Tournament Team.

Good 4 him. Unfortunately he couldn't hit his free throws against USC or else he would have had a chance to be MVP if USF would have won the whole thing.

Hopefully the performance against UNCW will be a sign that he is rounding into form. These next 5 games will be a chance for him to find the 3pt shot that makes him such a dangerous offensive player.

Certainly a slow start for Jones... but he is definitely talented enough to play like he did yesterday on most every given night.  Gotta love having other scorers on the team to take some of the pressure off.... and to take a way some of the double teams.

Kent State Wednesday... lets keep it rolling.

I haven't had a chance to look at all the stats of the tourney, but I thought he'd find himself on there too.  I think the all-tournament team was 6 players and there were what 8 teams?

what did he average during the tournament the last game brought it down some but before then he was playing really well scoring and rebounding.

Jones also noted by the Big East:

BIG EAST Honor Roll

Dominique Jones, USF, G, Jr.

Averaged 19.4 points in helping the Bulls to a 4-1 start including a third-place finish in the Charleston Classic where he an all-tournament pick.
