Well, I thought our players where losing their footing a lot in the game.  It seems I was the not the only one complaining.

Brad Culpepper complained that after USF games the field is in poor condition because of the replaced sod makes it slippery.  Hey Brad, it was not USF it was the field quality that week it sucked.

I noticed it as well.

Hopefully they are replacing the turf as we speak so it's all ready for the Battle for the U.  I expect it to be in good condition and fully painted, especially since its a semi-national audience and the Bucs are out of town for 2 weeks.

I was listening to the saints broadcast on xm radio yesterday and they talked about how bad the field was, and mentioned 'well, there /was/ a college game yesterday'

There were several "slips" during the Bucs game that wouldn't have normally happened.  No, I am not making excuses for the Bucs, they were destroyed.  Just making an observation.

I was on the field after the game and it was very, very wet.  I think they must have applied copius amounts of water over the prior week (maybe the grass didn't look like it was properly taking root or something) but I think that wetness caused alot of slipping and led to the field being tore up a bit during our game.

What was he talking about ? They didnt replace any part of the turf after our game. If you looked close you would see the U under the Bucs flag in midfield.

Speaking of that, gotta give a little props to the TSA for waiting until after our game to paint for the Bucs. Yeah, we only had the 'U' in the middle but there wasn't the white flag under it or the Bucs stuff in the endzones.
