Why we may not beat UM

It seemed like on that punt return for touchdown we had a bunch of guys who we normally couldn't justify putting on the field. Let's put some guys with speed on the field for punts otherwise Travis Benjamin is going to leave us in his dust just like that Lousiville guy did.

I'm not sure Leavitt gives the special teams much thought. v-tech has one of the best units in the country and it's because they use their starters. Beamer uses his NFL talent on special teams. we seem to use walk-ons and back-ups. not a good strategy IMO and we see the results.

special teams is 1/3 of the game. poor special teams play kept UofL in that game.

Miami is destroyed with injuries... the team they were in games 1-4 is not the team they are now.

Same thing with having a good punter/kicker/long snapper.  If you have a horrible one, it is awful.  If you have a good one, you take it for granted as that "is how it is supposed to work".

We can beat UM, we have the talent.  We have to play smart...these kids (on the both teams) will be jacked up.  We have to stay composed and not hurt ourselves with stupid penalties and turnovers.  When we do that we implode!

I don't care about what the score was for UL, they were a team with a lot of motivation for bowl eligibility and pride.  That is the typical college football, any team can win a game.

These kids seem to show up for big games at home, I think we pull this out by 7

Wouldn't be surprised to see us come out and destroy Miami and finish the season with a pathetic loss to UConn, further irritating me with thoughts of what could have been if we decide to play an entire season and get up for every game. All I know about this team is that they are terribly inconsistent from week to week.

When they come ready to play and are pumped up, they look like a legitimate team. We play too much on emotion, which is good when you're pumped up like I expect we'll be against the U.
