I think wes should add a "standing appropriate" sign. What other signs are needed?

I had some UBER old dude eyeing me. He told some guys in front of him to sit down, then as he went back to his seat he tried to kill me with the old guy evil eye of something. Thing is HE WASN'T EVEN IN MY SECTION!!!!! The old man There are other members on hear that sit in the same section. was annoyed that we were yelling defense. As I've stated before if someone can not stand, and they are behind me, then I will do my best to be seated during the actual play. For what it's worth, next year, we are going to try and move our seats the back row of our section. Personally I think that 115 should be considered a "standing" area anyway.

Oh, I forgot to mention this Saturday after the game, but I tend to drool when I drink a lot and we get a large lead. May not want to get those seats right in front of me. :contract

That's OK, we only get large leads early in the season so the drool will have a nice cooling affect.  ;D

I have to disagree with the whole "stand up in endzones and sit down on sidelines" - this is a College Football Game!!! They are supposed to be rowdy, loud, chanting and the like. That is what makes home field such an advantage for the home team. NFL is much more tame, but this the college game experience. I am 26 and not old, but I am alumni. I have season tix and I don't like the endzones bc I have a hard time seeing the other end of the field. So I foot the bill and pay the donation and have seats in 114-its the most I can afford as a donation at the time. I pay the same as every other person in the section & I love to stand and cheer the majority of the game. I'm 5'2" and I can barely see or block anyone behind me, but I also got yelled at by security. Its ridiculous. I paid for my seat, I should be allowed to stand and yell as loud as I want. End of story. Its college football-get over it.

I'm tired of these threads. Not because they aren't true, but because they are so played out. We know that some of the bigger tradition school stand the whole game. That's a lot of intensity, coupled with bench seating that doesn't exactly spell out comfort. USF plays at a state of the art stadium, with pretty **** comfy seats. Coupled that with a lot of casual fans, or fans that didn't go to USF while the team played football, so they dint understand the intensity, and you get this thread, every week.

Someone is a little too excited about this internet thing. Not to mention you can't read. Never did I defend the original poster, if anything I took a shot at him as well. Also nowhere in my post does it appear that my "knickers are in a knot". If anything, you are the guy who is a little to emotional.

I picture the real life you as a 50 something man who starts fights with "youngins" at the games and ends up begging TPD to press charges on the 20 year old he attacked.

Ya know if the yougin has been to games as a student and then get to sit in a section where the people are NOT as excited as the students he should expect and should have been advised by his father on the obvious behavior for that section.  In those sections there is unfortunately a certain behavior that is expected by those there.  I have no problem with a student screaming himself/herself hoarse.  If the freaking student secgtion sat there quiet as a church mouse I would have to be afraid of that student section.

Oh I am so freaking sorry I misinterpeted your post. <---- Please notate the sarcasm.   ;D

Why even go to the games if you're not excited to be there? When I had season's last year in the South End zone, the older people would be going just as crazy as any of the students. If you;re not excited to be there, don't go...sit your old @$$ at home, eat granola and sip prune juice. "Fans," like you make me sick. It's a football game for crying out loud.

You just too funny.  You should go ahead and leave school and start your career as a stand-up comic.

:ROFLMAO

maybe you should retire off the the old folks home already and be spoon fed for the rest of your life. eat some prunes grandpa.

I sent a letter to the athletics department. The reply consisted of a bunch of I'm sorry's etc., but the thing that stood out to me most was... "...USF athletics realizes that the primary purpose of holding sporting events is for the enjoyment of the student body. I am sorry if a non-student was hindering your ability to fully enjoy the game. We have dealt with many similar cases like this concerning students. Raymond James however has their own policies that sometimes conflict with the mission of USF athletics."Oh well, maybe we will eventually get an on campus stadium. Until then, the atmosphere inside the stadium (major games excluded) will continue to be poor.

I got a free ticket and went to the USF-WV game...I thought it was ridiculous that I had to show my ticket stub every time I went to the bathroom or to get food/drink to get back into my section when she obviously recognized me. It's a college game, everyone should be able to stand without fear of getting ejected. They are way too strict at Raymond James.

Please, spare us the melodrama ... The atmosphere is just fine in all the games ..... better in major games .... worse in noon games .... and if you think what happened to you won't happen in an OCS, you're delusional. It's not the venue, it's a portion of the fanbase .... a portion that, I would imagine, has invested heavily in the program. BTW, did you ever say what section you were in?
