I have thus far been unimpressed with Mike Canales.  I see poor calls, late calls causing time outs and confusion on the players faces as the plays are signaled from the side lines.  Is there something I am missing?  Are his calls so complicated that the players don't understand them? Is he worth the 200K he is paid?

I have linked his resume below.  To me he started with the Bulls when we just started, he left and now he is back.  That in itself I see as a poor decision.  Again please fill me in if I am missing something?

Why would leaving for a better job be a poor decision?

Pretty sure he meant USF's re-hiring of Canales after being fired from Arizona for doing virtually nothing offensively. Actually, in hindsight, that's why it makes sense for us- if you follow.

You do bring up a good point on the late plays called in, and 60% of the time its just a read option did it really take like 20 seconds to call in a play you just called in the play before.

We already tried switching offensive coordinators... it doesn't work. Watched Cincy last night and Brian Kelly seems to call all of the plays because he is holding the playbook in his hands. Leavitt simply doesn't know how to run an offense. All of our completions come from broken plays not real plays that we have practiced maybe that's why we need our QB's to be so athletic...

Did we REALLY switch offensive coordinators?

Chico will get a pass this year since he is working with a new QB that is making mistakes.  The offense was running pretty decent with Grothe in there, but I know that was against weaker competition.
