USf wins which is always good. Not to mention I got the Bulls +1. And won back the $50 I lost on the football team last night.

Gus had a hell of a game. This team is going to be good.

In Heath I trust.

Now I just need Georgetown to beat Tulane by more than 10.5

Also betters. 2morrow take Houston -5.5 vs UCF

i enjoy basketball but NOTHING tops football ;/ (just my opinion)

Gilchrist scores a career-high. This team will shred when Crater and Rivas are back for conference play. SMU had been 69-33 all time in home openers btw.

Our hoops looked legit for the first time since 2001. I will wear my USF hoops jersey with pride Monday night as I catch the game at a local establishment!

Beating SMU by a few points is a much different beast than the BE

Joe, you have been a fan for a long time, we know not to get excited if we win some out of conference.  but I do like the look of the team.  Hopefully they get better every game and are ready to compete in the BE>

One thing we can agree on is that Stan Heath is bringing in the players like Famous that are going to get the USF hoops team better. I mean, USF can only go up from where they have been since the McCullum era. It was a big mess when Stan took over which is why a lot of coaches passed up on the USF job. Arkansas firing a good coach was a blessing for the USF program as Stan was on the rebound by taking the USF job. I agree with Joe though in that I am going to try to temper my excitement until we get to the BIG EAST season.
