I don’t know what the message behind the patches really is.  I capitalized “IFâ€, perhaps I should have bolded/italicized it too.  I’m speculating(is that allowed here?) that IF the patches are meant to convey the message that his performance is beyond judgment of his peers/coaches/team/fans, then he has a bad attitude.  Would anyone disagree with that? 

If the meaning is different, then my analysis would produce something else entirely.  For example, if “Only God†is his way of saying “I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.† Then I would say he has a good perspective and a healthy outlook.

I haven’t bashed anyone and I’m not knocking his faith or his right to profess it.

It is true that I offered psychoanalysis on speculation from 60,000 feet away.  But this post from someone who certainly has greater insight into player personalities seems to hint at endorsement:

Yes you should take that completely unbiased "endorsement" at face value.

Thanks for taking the time to provide that thought process.  I believe that many of the people that pass out criticism like condoms in a high school haven't any idea what it is like to compete or to coach.  They simply don't get what they want when watching a game and they rant...then, call that rant criticism whether or not they have a single fact or experience to support their position.

Correct me if I am wrong because I haven't read every single response but I think the original poster was looking for an explanation of what it really meant to him rather than to criticize him for it.

Just read the first 3 posts in the thread and you'll see that the OP wasn't really looking for an explanation but just an opening for him to regale us with his psychoanalysis of BJ. Some people read Tarot cards, some read tea leaves, some even read palms but it appears that glare patches are the true window to one's inner soul...

Never....would I have come to the conclusion that he suggested "only God can judge me".  I don't think he is "that guy" with "that attitude".
