There goes KL again on one of he pointless rants. He wants to somehow say that USF cant have a rivalry with Cincy because there are not 50,000 fans. LOL. Whatever. I guess you will say the same thing when UCF brings about 50 fans to the USF game next season. Geez. Somethings you say make so little sense. Never in that statement did I mention attendence. A rivalry is between the players too you know. The point I am trying to make is that USF could develop a football rivarly with Cincy because they had a big say in keeping USF from going to a bowl game 2 out of the last 3 years. They beat ECU two years ago which took away USF's conditional bowl invite, and they pretty much knocked USF from a bowl game this season. Sure, fans are what make a rivalry great, but you can never leave out the battles between the players. Anyway, just try to explain USF has a rivalry with UCF when UCF will be lucky to bring about 50 fans. LOL

LOL!! BB....a little "backed up" this AM??

UCF will only bring 50 fans to Tampa next year?? LOL!!

Again...sorry for trying to be RATIONAL!!! Even your own fans understand that to have a RIVAL...FANS HAVE TO SHOW UP!!

I don't think THOUSANDS of USF fans will ever travel to Cinci....EVER!!

Back to Earth BB...(and or try some Pepto).

Oh...UCF will bring more than 50 fans next year....everyone knows it will be a least 55!!!

LOL!! 50 fans!!!

KL

Sheriff, USF will never be the rival of UF.  UF has only two real rivals, UGA and FSU.  Even UT is not a "rival" of them.  There is a difference.  When you enter the President's skybox at FSU, there is a mural on the wall.  It shows a FSU defender tackling Spurrier.  On every Gator jerser, on the front were the words "You can't win" (something like that)

USF could beat UF 10 years in a row, they won't be your rival.

So does that mean that more fans from UCF will travel to Tampa than were at your last home game?

Truthfully, the USF/UC game could evolve - over time - into a rivalry. Right now, we don't have any rival - and it's hard to say what the NBE will bear.

UCF would never get close to bringing 15k. They cant even get 10k for their own home games, so I doubt UCF would bring many fans. There is noway that UCF will bring more fans than what UL did last season. And, a rivalry has nothing to do about attendence. USF is a rival to UAB in basketball, but the attendence is never good. The point I made from the start is that Cincy will be a rival because we will be in the same conference. In other words, these two teams could be facing off for a BCS bid in the next year or so. Miami had a rivalry with Pitt, BC, and Syracuse, yet they are far away from each other. Distance does not matter in some rivalries. Just ask So Cal and Notre Dame. In time, both UC and USF should grow their fan base to make sure there are alot of fans there. So earth to KL on this one. And Guru, this USF fan does not care for what UF does. Sheriff may want a rivalry with them, but I sure dont because we are in different conferences.

Normally, rival games are PACKED with tens of thousands of fans...with thousands of visiting fans helping to cheer on your team.

USF had what...20-30 family and friends there?? Plus..it doesn't help if the home team doesn't have many fans of it's own...

Was channel surfing yesterday afternoon...saw your game on Sunshine early in the 1st half...and I heard a Cinci fan clap...and it made an ECHO in the stadium!!!

ECHO!!  (I haven't heard one on TV since watching a college baseball game).

If Cinci had 19,300 at that stadium yesterday (stadium would be been almost 2/3 full if  that were true) then UCF will have 50,000 plus for our finale vs Kent St.

Wish UCF could count attendance like that!!

That's not a rivalry...trust me.

KL

PS. Challenge for USF in in the future...is what team/city will thousands of their fans travel to in the Big East to help START a rivalry??

It's hard to have "rival" when none of your conf games are within driving distance.
