I hate coming to this board after a loss and reading all the 'Julmiste sucks' posts.  

The kid is a friggin' sophomore, is in his first year as a starter, has a bunch of freshmen and sophomore receivers, and a pass-happy offensive scheme that doesn't help him.  When USF commits to the run and keeps the D off balance, he is more successful.  

I predict he will go through spring and fall practice and be our #1 QB next year.  He should continue to get better.  Matt Grothe should be redshirted and let Denson, Gachette, and PJ battle it out.

Yes Julmiste had a bad game.  But let's be clear on where the let down was this week.

Our defense was terrible!  No pressure on Guidugli at all.  And because he had all day to throw, our secondary simply could not cover the receivers for that long.  

Also, no one seemed to be covering UC's tight ends.  They were wide open all day.  At least once for a TD.

Then Jenkins gets flagged for two pass interference penalties, both of which were horrible calls.  That led to another TD.

We gave up almost 600 yards!  You won't win many that way (unless you're Louisville v Memphis).
