they shot perfect from the line, we decided to react to this by fouling them more.

we sure are rough. i have hope in this team, some very solid team players, from time to time. at least we got the W.

Couldn't box out anyone.  Swift did a hell of a job behind the arc tonight.  But our defense  needs to improve if we want to win this year.

we beat SFA by one point because:

1)  we are a team with a new coach in his 2nd year

2)  lost our 2nd leading scorer for the season

3)  SFA has 42 wins over last 2 seasons, hardly a bad team.

4)  they shot lights out from the foul line

5)  we got out rebounded

6)  we had a bunch of unforced errors on offense

We almost lost because that little midget from SFA can really shoot the ball.  He couldn't miss if he was blindfolded and being tortured.  We defended him OK at times (and others he ran right around us and we lost him in man switches and zone), but a few of his shots were just plain lucky.  Thank the Lord B Swift played his butt off, or we're starting the year 0-1.  This team is going to be good, but they need some time to gel.  Give credit to SFA, and realize we need to work on the boards and team defense.  If Terrence or Solomon emerges as a real post threat, we could give teams fits in the half court, cause Swiftie and Marius are both shooting lights out.

2117 was the announced attendance.............how many peeps were actually there??

Dont forget here at USF you must donate $2000 to sit in the lower level of the sun dome in a game that barely has a 1000 people show up.............MAKES ALOT OF SENSE DOESN'T IT.

our first W, 15 more to go.

did the team fade under pressure or did they play hard for 40 mins?

what was the free throw %?

looks like we missed mosley?

did we have fresh bodies?

did coach mac manage the game well?

was he coaching or just yelling?

JewBull... stop being so Jewish and pony up the cash!  ;D How many away games (football) did you fly to while you were a student? Now you're a graduate with a real job! I don't think I'm ready to pay $2000 though to watch what we're putting on the court. Working in a bar doesn't really afford me that opportunity currently. But I will help send some fans on a road trip if Collin throws a bus trip together. I'm not balling yet... when I am, I'll pony up the cash for donations to the Foundation... until then... I'm good for about $50 every three months to help my fellow undergrads get drunk!

What was the real attendance though? Did we actually have a 1000 there? I could hear the fans over the internet connection. TJ Reives calls a great game IMO.

It was a bad performance by the basketbulls. Looks like McCullum has another bad year to endure.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
