You are missing the point. The pro players smack talk and look at me attitude is where these kids get it from. They try to emulate the pro's aactions. I still am a firm believer of team aspect instead of the look what I have done mentality. This pimping these athletes do all the time is getting a little sick. If T.O. just did his job and didn't make such an assclown of himself, he would be more of a role model to our kids. You see kids, even at the pee-wee level, pimping around. Sports has no place in my opinion, for this. That's why I want it stopped here at USF. Talk is cheap. Action speaks louder.

Would you want YOUR kid(s) acting this way? It only reflects on you!    The Reaper

Now mind you, talking across the line is ok, But to stand over one or skip, or shush, or nod the head incessentlantly(sp) is pimping! Hell, if you're gonna do that, put on a purple suit with a lime green feather hat and tote around your whores.

I'd prefer it not be part of the game but, sadly, it is and it's not going away. I'm just saying that some players use that, right or wrong, as self motivation.

And my kids do that, I kill them .............. ;D

That's how some players keep focused and in the game. Doesn't matter if they're down by 2 td's or up by 2 td's.  And they really shouldn't change the way they play based on the score. Should be all out, all the time.

They should learn to focus in such a way that they're not perceived as complete morons.

USF needs to do a better job of controlling their own kids' behavior instead of looking to the pros to provide the right kind of influence. If the kids are emulating the pros behavior to that high degree, then it means somewhere along the line a coach isn't exerting a different influence on them.

Geez!! I still dont have one example to a team that never talks smack. Lets just list the teams that USF played this season to find out if there was no smack from our opponents. Cincy??? Yes, they even when so far as to through a jab at one of our players which cost them 15 yards. ECU??? One of their WRs got up and did the first down sign with his arm a la Keyshaun Johnson. UAB??? There whole **** side line talked smack about USF needing to hit the weights. Army??? They smacked around S Gramatica during warm ups. UL?? Did you ever watch JR RUSSEL?? USM?? There players and cheerleaders talk smack with the best of them. TCU??? I notice alot of smack from theirside. You get the point. There really is no team out there that really does not use smack talk. It is part of the game. Sure, USF could tone it down, but the reality of it is that USF has toned it down. Look at how many less penalties we had against UC.

This team has always been a bunch of hot dogs.  Just that now that we're losing it's a bigger issue.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
