Footballs in stands

It's going a bit to far when they ask people to leave for keeping the balls.

I have never seen the policy actually posted anywhere, so it stands to reason that someone might not understand that you should throw it back. That's not a good enough reason for kicking someone out of the stands.

Wait a minute....I'm sort of confused here.

Soooo...this guy was ejected from the stadium because he caught a ball? Or was he removed because - rather than hand it over as asked - he opted to question his obligtion to do so?  That's two different things.

I've seen the TSA ask folks to hand over the ball, and if you refuse, well...then you deal with "the man". Hand it over as you're asked and no action taken.

no questions asked, police walked down aisle grabbed guy and took him out... no questions no chance for defense.  The people on the field looked up and motioned to throw it back, but nothing serious.

ACTUALLY, it was a girl that took it and hid it.  Then she walked away as the cops were coming down and since she hid the ball right in front of where the 2 guys were sitting the cops thought it was them and kicked 'em out.  Then the student section started chanting "Bull****" because it was.  The girl stood in the game because she managed to avoid the cops... I think that was very wrong.

I am however very disappointed there was no fight at the game.  So far there's been one at every game so far...boo!
