Maurice Mobley leaves USF basketball program

TAMPA, Fla. (Monday, Nov. 15)  Maurice Mobley, a junior guard, has left the USF basketball program for personal reasons.

“Maurice Mobley made a decision to leave the basketball program,†said USF coach Robert McCullum. “He indicated that he was struggling balancing both academics and basketball and as a result chose to focus on the academic side. While Maurice made a great deal of progress on the basketball court, we certainly respect his wishes and wish him well in his future endeavors. Maurice will remain on scholarship through the fall semester of the 2004-05 academic year.â€Â

A native of Andress, Texas, Mobley averaged 12.1 points and 8.8 rebounds a year ago for Parkland College in Champaign, Ill., helping his team to a 23-10 record in 2003-04.

here we go again. 12 freakin players. any guesses who's gonna go next? Kind of tired of these chosen athletes not cutting the mustard. Other schools seem to have these kids. why not us?
