The box score says it was Henderson.

I taped the game on TiVo, freeze framed it, and it was #20, C. Simpson who coughed it up late in the game.  Maybe I missed one by Henderson, but Simpson definitely fumbled unless Henderson stole his jersey!

to get another junior next year would mean he would only have one year left

I guess Leavitt suddenly can't redshirt?

You are probaly thinking about Eldra Buckley who is ranked #2 JUCO RB by Rivals and has USF among his favorites:

http://usf.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?pr_key=32031

Eight Northwest Mississippi Community College football players have been selected to the All-Region XXIII and MACJC All-State teams.

Northwest finished the 2004 campaign with a record of 7-2 and placed third in the MACJC north division with a 4-2 mark.

Four of those players earned a spot on both the All-Region and All-State squads. They are tailback Eldra Buckley, offensive tackles Jess McDonald and Theodric Watson, and cornerback Marcus Conner.

Buckley, a sophomore from Charleston, was selected north division Most Valuable Offensive Back and was runner-up for Region XXIII Player of the Year honors. Buckley led the nation in rushing with 160 carries for 1,276 yards and 12 touchdowns.

McDonald, a sophomore from Senatobia, was chosen north division Most Valuable Offensive Lineman. McDonald and linemate Watson, a sophomore from Senatobia, helped Northwest lead the state in total offense averaging 448.2 yards per game.

Conner, a sophomore from Batesville, took home north division Most Valuable Defensive Back merits. Conner led the Rangers with four interceptions and collected 52 tackles.

Center Aylon Putt and defensive end DeVon Hicks joined the quartet on the list of first team All-State selections.

Putt, a sophomore from Senatobia, was the Rangers' leader on the offensive line for the past two seasons. Hicks, a freshman from Trilby, Fla., registered 63 tackles, including a team-high 10 for loss. He also collected eight quarterback sacks.

Two Northwest players were selected second team MACJC All-State, including quarterback Lewis Kuffuor and strong safety Jonathan Webster.

Kuffuor was one of the state’s most exciting players in 2004. The sophomore from Atlanta, Ga., finished third in the country in individual total offense with 225.7 yards per game. Kuffuor, who threw for 1,111 yards and rushed for 932, accounted for 17 touchdowns.

Webster, a sophomore from Courtland, led the Rangers in tackles with 85 total stops. He also broke up a team-high 13 passes and intercepted another.

I also put in bold the name of OC Aylon Putt as he too was a pre season JUCO ALL american and lists USF among his favorites. Maybe well land both Buckley and Putt.

Smazza for president... I'm not sure who calls our plays... but that is who sucks! Hall wondered himself why he didn't see the ball more after the 1st quarter.

If we don't win our next two... we will have our second losing season. No!

Hall is a great running back and we have some highly touted young RB as well.  Part of the running game success this year has to be attributed to a very experienced offensive line.  We need to make sure to keep this stocked as well.

Some fans here have the wrong perception of our program;

1. Even in our state we ARE NOT that well known, i have seen this change in the last two years but we still are not in the same league with most BCS teams in most recruits eyes.

2. The BE next year and the new athletic facility have helped and will continue to help, but its still not enough to get most of the top athletes that are being wooed by the top teams in other BCS conferences.

We will improve our standing as time goes by but the facts are that:

1. We only have been in 1A ball for 3 years

2. Weve only  had football for 8 years.

3. We avg less than 30,000 a game

4. We had no athletic facility till this year.

5. We have no Bowl history.

6. We had not been on ESPN till last year.

7. WE had no shot at BCS till next year.

8. Rest of the nation and most of Florida has never heard of us

That doesnt mean that i accept losing and the Army game was a plain choke on our part. Upsets happen and sometimes you win them sometimes you lose them.
