Look at it this way, early in the season the UAB game looked like it might have been a loss (even substitute TCU) ... so we're even, right where we "should" be.

I had us at 7-4 this year, and losing to either Cincy or Memphis, so in my book we're still down one and need to get it back.  Will be tough though - I'm hoping for 2 of last 3.

Not looking ahead just yet, but I've been very impressed with how well Pitt has played and gotten better each week. That win against the Irish was impressive when you consider who ND has beaten. Who knows-- maybe we go into that game on a nice roll ourselves.

At this point-- none of our remaining games are going to be easy.

True, none will be easy -- but at the same time none will be impossible (i.e. Louisville) either.

Cincinnati looked good against Southern Miss, but USF pushed them around as well (except for the school-record four interceptions by PJ).  In fact, if it wasn't for Terrance Royal's stupid penalty for taking off his helmet, USF might have won that game.  I am not as impressed with UC's recent three-game winning streak.

Memphis looked good against Louisville -- on offense.  Their defense looked suspect, however.  Comparing USF vs UofL and UM vs UofL is inconclusive.  USF QB's were 3 of 20 and we played on the road.  The key will be to holding Wimprine's numbers down -- and our defense may be able to do that.  Remember, the Tigers lost 49-10 at Cincinnati, and also lost at UAB -- their road wins (Ole Miss, Arkansas St) aren't that impressive.

Pittsburgh (IMHO) will be the toughest test.  The Panthers are on a roll, and will be looking to avenge the 2001 drubbing we gave them in their first ever game at Heinz field.   Still, they can't realistically win the Big East (BC plays Temple & Syracuse), and will be coming off the Backyard Brawl with WVU.  In fact, they may already know what bowl game their are in, and may not be playing for anything.

Of course, the Bulls are taking it one game at a time, and Cincinnati is waiting.  The Bulls have to continue to do what they are doing -- run the ball, limit mistakes, limit penalties, and make tackles.  If they can focus on these fundamentals, all will work out.

If we play like we have the last two games, we can beat all of these teams and surely two of the three.  Hopefully, that will be Cincinnati and Memphis.
