What i did like about tonight was Jones.... I haven't looked at the line yet, so i don't know the official block count... but he must have had at least 5 blocks, and 15 or so points and 15 or so rebounds.  He was everywhere.  He has soft hands on offense and a good defensive presence.  He's similar to gerrick, only he has scoring ability.

Good eye, Vg. 5 blks, 16 pts, 16 rbs AND 4-4 from the stripe ..........

We were a bit sloppy at times, but considering the circumstances (mosley, brigman both out, meaning we had 2 freshman and a sophmore playing tons of minutes).... its kinda expected.  I wish we had a couple more exhibition games just to get some more game time for our young guys before actually playing a real game.

Alright, call me an idiot but who was the other freshman besides Prekevicius??

All of Jones' free throws were perfect, no iron.

Looks like another problem:

The Bulls, who suffered several player defections and dismissals last season, may have already lost their first player this season. Junior college transfer Maurice Mobley wasn't at the game and McCullum said his status would be announced by Monday.

Freshmen Collin Dennis (hip flexor) and Montavious Waters (knee) did not play. It's unknown if they will be available for USF's Nov. 20 season opener against Stephen F. Austin.

Before the game coach said this was just an exhibition and he was going to use it to practice a few specific things.  He did not care about the score.

Additionally, anyone with even a slight injury did not play.

Dennis will be back, probably for the first game but maybe not until the second.  Waters has a sprained knee which is better than the original thoughts that it was a torn ACL.  Brigman will start when he returns (as long as he keeps his weight down).

The two things I noted in the game is that we did a horrible job guarding the backside, especially in transition.  #15 had 7 or 8 wide open looks for 3's and hit them.  The other concern is Swift, the kid does nothing but complain when he gets stripped or something doesn't go his way.  He needs to shut his mouth and drop his smerks and just get back on defense.

The freshman guard at St Leo was a major miss by D-1 schools.  McCollugh (spelling) averaged around 30 a game on a terrible King high school team but was passed over because of size.  Well, he's a few inches taller than Swift and schooled him on a regular basis.

Maybe he will transfer to USF Omni, ala Fred Lewis.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
