He'd be smart to at least talk to Florida....then he could get more $$ out of L-ville b/c they will want to keep him happy.

Florida isnt the best job by a long shot. There is too much pressure and not enough loyalty to  the coaches.

Ok this is how this all plays out:

Myers wants to coach in Big 10, I say he waits for JoePa to leave or for

Tressel to get kicked out.

Shula to Miami Dolphins when he feels the pressure of losing to LSU and Auburn.

UF makes a run at the USC asst. coach but the USC asst coach goes to Washington.

UF thinks about Nieuhiesel (sp) or Price but then goes for Monty Kiffin.

Since the Bama job is open they want to SS but he says no, so Bama goes after the guy they wanted prior to Shula...Yes, JL.

With the USF job now open SS agrees to coach USF in a BCS conference and that way his kid can play in a BCS conference.  This puts SS in a BCS conference in the state of FL and he does not have to play FSU or Miami.  Plus with the recruits flocking to USF he can build a program that can go to a BSC bowl every year.

I know is all sounds far fetched but you never know   ;D

87 is a little off on his, but I like his style.

Urban wants the B10 or Notre Dame...he'll only take about three big ten positions- Michigan, Ohio State, and maybe PSU.  He actually has two clauses in his Utah contract (which is quite hefty) and those are Notre Dame and I believe Ohio State.  That's his dream, he's a Midwest boy, coached receivers at Notre Dame, loves Lou Holtz, a Catholic Boy.  You get the picture.

The Cal coach will get the job.  His turnaround has been incredible with limited resources.  Petrino has little to gain leaving UL at this point, and frankly considering his loyalty issue last year with Auburn, if he went to UF and faultered his name would become MUD in the industry.

A very interesting thought that Shula would go to the Dolphins.  The Fins would be insane to offer him, but Huzienga's moves to date have not been sound.

Spurrier's confusing.  I just don't see a major opportunity opening up in the college ranks this year outside of UF.  Some say USC because Lou Holtz might want to retire after this year if his team can finish out like 9-3 and get another New Year's Day Bowl.  Maybe, but it seems like a weak opportunity.  UNC might open up with Bunting gone.  The only other opportunities would be for coaches that vacate to other opportunities like Saban to the NFL or something.

There is some interesting things happening on the coaching front, and if USF goes on a 4 game tear, which is possible because our defense seems to be improving quickly, and Leavitt gets us to a bowl game, and we finish something like 7-4 or 8-4....his name could suddenly be bantied about.

It will be interesting.

I like being off on my, it keeps things interesting.  I don't see SS going to the ACC, two very big reasons:  FSU and Miami, he did not like playing them and does not want to play them "Sam I am"!

I thought I heard that Saban has already said NO! to the NFL but you never say never.

Shula does not have to go to Miami as a head coach, the key there is two losses in his last two games and if he makes it to a bowl game and he loses he is gone.

Did not think of USCar. but I figured Lou would have a sibling setup there but it would put SS back in the SEC and they do have nice golf courses in SC.

I just figure that Mike Price even with his baggage and Nieuhiesel (sp) will be somewhere in the mix for the UF job if not somewhere on the east coast.  Another thing to think about is the Pitt coach or the WVU coach, bigger conference and bigger money.

Well Huzienga tried the second coming of the QB in Brian why not try the second coming of the Coach in Shula?  This is Huzienga, the man that has ruined a great franchise "Keep the Tax rideoff".  Huzienga the second coming of Hugh Culverhouse!!!
