...is slowly starting to creep back into the national limelight.

Trust me, I am by no means a Notre Dame fan. But, they have been in every game with the exception of one - the meltdown against Purdue. Just beat #9 Tennessee today.

I know it's been discussed on here before, but I'd still LOVE to see them join the Big East. It would help solidify the conference.

With the losses of both Tennessee and Miami, Louisville should move up at least two positions, with both of these teams losing twice to non-ranked opponents.

didn't ND lose to BC?

tenn win is impressive!

winningham should leave ND to coach in a big confrence where he has a chance to recruit the best players before they fire him, they will be looking for a scapegoat soon enough

And WVU.  WVU will have two tough tests left against BC, and Pitt.  Win them both and WVU will finish the year in the top 8, and if UL wins out that should be good enough for top 12.

That should silence most of the critics about The Big East for at least the time being.  WVU's only loss, a last second missed FG against surging Vtech.  Don't look now, but Vtech is tied for first in the ACC with Virginia.  Their Thanksgiving Weekend showdown could decide the ACC, and if Tech wins it makes WVU's loss look that much better, and Miami wonder why in the hell they left the Big East.  This year Miami would have been good enough to run through the BE with only WVU holding them back.  As it stands Miami could be looking at a non-New Year's Day Bowl for the first time in 6 years!

We better hope that the Notre Dame/Big East bowl coalition continues. I know Rich Rodriguez b*tched about it awhile back but he's way off-base. Being able to promise "a Big East team or Notre Dame" to the Gator Bowl and others makes the NBE much more attractive to bowls than it would be otherwise.

Miami is still in the drivers seat in the Big East. VaTech plays at UM and the Canes are pissed about last year's loss... and UVA and the Canes play this week with the loser basically eliminated. UVA and VaTech still play each other to close out the season. That could have BCS dollars written all over it. The ACC champ could possibly have three losses and still play in a BCS game. Utah and Boise are loving this.

ND beating UT was nothing really spectacular, they beat them with UT's 3rd string QB playing a lot of that game

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
