I know that there has been talk about conference realignment many, many times, but there has been talk on the rivals main board about what people would like to see in terms of conference realignments. A lot of people say that they would like to see USF move to the ACC and have BC move back to the Big East to form a true northeast conference. This would allow USF to play more regional schools. I personally would love to be able to play FSU, Clemson, Miami (in conference) and Virginia Tech every year. What do yall think?

I'd like it, but won't happen.  The BE schools like coming to FL to recruit, and the ACC schools same thing.  Teams would not want to give up those Florida trips and Florida ties as it would negatively impact recruiting.

Here is what I would do... move BC back to Big East... move South Carolina (back) or Vanderbilt to the ACC... and move USF to the SEC.

That way Florida would have two ACC and two SEC teams...

ACC would definitely be overloaded with (mediocre) FL teams if USF or UCF moved into the conference.

Good thing UF is carrying the torch for FL so well because we're definitely losing respect out of the state. Most people I know outside FL consider USF the second best team in the state. I love USF but we shouldn't be the bar for the #2 team in a state with so many great programs.

I don't see it happening, but selfishly, as a North Carolinian, I'd love to see it, as it would mean more games in my backyard.

How about a new conference just for the gulf states / SE states and pick off BE/ACC teams plus a few others  Kind of like an SEC 2.  Call  it Gulf Atlantic Conference.

For sure, it would contain:

Georgia Tech

FSU

UM

USF

NC State

North Carolina

Clemson

Duke

Maybe also consider:

UCF

ECU

Southern Miss

Memphis (due to basketball)

This conference would essentially keep the conference to teams from:

NC, SC, Georgia, FL, Ala, Miss

^ Uh, all that looks like is a raid of he ACC unless I'm blind we're the only non-ACC team in your "'for sure" list.

Also, Memphis is no longer valuable in basketball. They were nothing without JC they'll likely be little with him just leaving.

I like it, IncrediBULL. But, the GAC? Gack doesn't quite roll off the tongue like it should. :-)

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
