Luckily, no one here donates near enough to have a say in this matter.

Yeah, the kid screwed up, but he was in Miami. Not exactly a city to be on your best behavior..

Kid has a world of talent and would make the QB competition in 2010 very competitive. We really don't know what to expect of BJ or Landi.

he couldnt start at on an average miami team

what a talent

miami wanted him out

what a talent

... and really demolishes that "pipeline."

Seriously doubt he could ruin a pipeline that isn't even there.

And sMAZZA, you do not know the facts  ::) He started 11 games for them.

...  The kid was below average on Miami with all the 4 and 5 stars around him.  ...

Yet he started over their current #1.

I'm going with the odds that he'd be the better QB ... we have a year to know with no harm.

Sincerely sorry ... meant to hit quote instead of modify. E.T.

That UM team was a dumpster fire from top to bottom.  Marve's numbers are what they are, but it is unfair to infer that he held back an all-star cast.

The most amazing thing i saw all last year was the UNC/UM game.  Sure UNC won. . . . . but go back and look at the way the UNC lines manhandled UM's bigs.  One play in particular, the UM defense stopped a UNC RB at like the 5 or 7 yard line.  Unable to get him down, members from each team formed a scrum and UNC pushed the UM players back like it was men with boys.  I knew then what I had begun to suspect.  That UM is rapidly transforming into an average private school that plays in a generic baseball stadium 15 miles from campus on the Dade/Broward county line.

Two years ago, their recruit Marve never gave us the time of day. . . . . this year, we got Kayvon Webster and Sam Barrington. . . . . . in ten years they'll be looking up at us.

A couple of points. Yes UM was not as talented as in years past but dont fool yourself they were not as bad as they played in some games. They have gotten some very good talent in past two years that still too raw to dominate like before. But as long as whoever is the coach at UM can pick the top talent in Miami they will be tough.

What Miami has been missing is the leadership that they used to have that would make the rest of the team believe that they were unbeatable, that has been lacking.

Still I will tell you straight out that Marve was beaten out by Harris last year and Harris was a freshmen starting as opposed to Marve that had sat out a season. Nobody in Miami was crying when Marve was let go and that should tell you a lot.

Nah, not really a debate. at the end of the day what I think or others on this board think about it will mean nothing.

I just think that too many are selling UM short, they have good talent and if they get some leadership on that team they could be top 25 next year.
