Well it just falls right in line with the current FB season.  I do think that RMC is on the right track.  Look at it this way, we are setup to over acheive!!!

We'll probably finish about 10th or 11th in mens.

Robert McCullum - USF

On who the go-to guys are going to be on his team

It’s extremely important to know that you have a go-to guy on every team…every team sport needs that comfort of knowing when things get tough there is someone. In this case, it’s Terrence Leather that we know we can go to, to get a big basket…he’s going to get a big rebound for us. Again that’s a great comfort in knowing that we have that. Bradley Mosley averaged about 14 points a game, Brian Swift probably finished averaging about nine points a game, but the second half of the year he really played well…in particular he shot the basketball well. What that means is kind of a big three if you will, from a scoring standpoint, a back-for-more experience and I think the remaining members of the team will have confidence in knowing that there are three guys that they can go to.

On the improvements of the team

We are much farther ahead then we were a year ago. In the physical condition aspect, we are farther ahead. We have a much better understanding of what it takes to succeed and the importance of playing consistently. We also have more depth, and if we can stay healthy, that’s a big part of it, if we can stay healthy, we feel we have more depth and you have to get a break or two. I am confident that this team will be a much better team and hopefully that will be reflected in our record.

that is about right

where you end the season is important

i say we are 7th or 8th by seasons end if we have no major injuries

someone should start a poll on where we end up at the end of bball season

Misery deserves company... any takers on the football team having more overall wins than the basketball team in Conference this year? I'm placing the bar at four wins. I believe the basketball team wins three games in conference, and ends up 14th for the second straight season. The women's team though has a real shot at tearing it up this season.

I was pissed about the McCullum comment about the go-to guy. Shouldn't we have five options on a court at all times... I know we're not Duke or Maryland, but why does it always have to be a one trick pony show with us. When Terrence or Mosley gets bottled up, where are we going to get our scoring from? Leather was a real good surprise last year when Jimmy went South.

I only really know the BB, Altron, Reggie era. When BB or Tron got bottled up, Ced Smith picked up the slack or Reg drained a ton of three's to keep things tight. When Will McDonald stepped in later in his career, he turned into a monster.

I'm just curious to see if we recruited some studs, or if the message board is going to be a Fire McCullum vs Seth Sucked debate after each loss.

Just get me some wins McCullum and make me a bulliever once again! I want to feel going into a game that we will look like a top notch program... not a program that is playing an ESPN game and is about to take a 30-point+ ass-whipping to Louisville again (crap... this happened in both football and hoops to the 'Ville). They have our number this year!

We could go .500 next year in conference and you'd still see that same debate.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
