because he is getting a chance to show what he can do at this level as QB and his window of opportunity may be closing.

i am one of his supporters and felt he had a breakout game at tcu but he does not seem to have buildt on that

some is coaching and playcalling and some of the responsibility falls on the player. hit guys in the hands routinely then the WR get the heat. be on your back trying to make a play then the O- line gets the heat.

throw the ball on 1st and goal on the 2, 2nd and goal on the two, 3rd and goal on the 2 or any of the crap playcalling then the OC gets the heat. throw the ball at the feet of a wide open wr when you have time to throw then that is on the QB.

so my hope is that pj steps up and starts making plays when they are there to be made or he won't get a sniff in 2005

A better question is can PJ please play for another team.

Stop blaming the OC.  Our personnell is the problem.  Louisville exposed that.

Velcro, you don't think our receivers should take any blame?

Velcro, you don't think our receivers should take any blame?  You can call the most mystifying plays in the world, if they can't catch the ball it doesn't matter if Spurrier is your OC.  Our OC called plenty of plays which left receivers wide open.  50% of the time the ball didn't get there, the other 48% of the time they dropped the ball.

You can't catch balls in the dirt... the blame should be on the QB and OC.  Some balls are missed, but that happens in any offense.   But you shouldn't see so many aweful looking plays where no receiver has even a chance to make a play.

A few drops were the receiver's fault.  Most of the time it was PJ throwing a 65 mph pass to an open receiver 8-10 yds away. He also can't seem to hit a guy in the numbers.  They are high, at his feet, or behind him. PJ doesn't have any touch whatsoever.
