No worries, Zook will do USF a favor and go 8 - 5 or worse and it won't be a problem.  But if JL does not improve and get us over the hump then WHO, WHO do you pick with a FL tie or do they have to be connected to FL?

How quickly you guys forget.  Leavitt took us from nothing to the Big East in a few short years.  We've just had our best recruiting class ever and already have some solid early commits for next year.  All this while working out of trailers.

Even the "dynasty" programs have down periods.

I'm not saying now, you have to let JL work through this or at least prove that he can't.   I applaud the effort that JL has put into this program and where it has led us but just like Jon Gruden and the TB Buc problems, how long do you let him have a free pass.  Or do you let it get like Penn State, Joe Pa is a great coach but his time is over and it shows in recruiting and perfomance on the field???

I like Urban Meyer at UF, Spurrier at UNC no way he wants to stay away from FSU and UM.  The BE is his best option, it keeps him in a BCS conference and he can still be in FL.  BTW, the UF alumni have more power than the UF president, if Zook has another 8 - 5 season with a loss to FSU and a bowl loss the UF alumni will have Zook gone, they will pressure for Spurrier!!!

The situation with Gruden is different.  He didn't build to Bucs.  Tony Dungy and Rich McKay did.  JoePa is different also.  He's had years of big, losing seasons.

I disagree with your disagree...Gruden is now a TB Buc icon because he won the super bowl.  Joe Pa is a PSU and college FB icon.  JL is a USF FB icon, JL has taken us on a wonderful ride to CUSA and now the BE.  But CFB is a business and it is what have you done for me today, week, and year.  I'm sorry I just don't want this to be a Seth Greenburg situation where he hurt the program for staying to long.  JL is a great coach he just may not be a great head coach/general manager.

I see your disagreement and raise you an opposing view.  While you're right, they others mentioned have received "icon" status.  Their situations are completely different.  I'm willing to give him time to get our "Big East" recruiting classes on the field and see how he deals with some of the problems we've had this year.
