I can3 believe how lame our fan base is.

Seriously, where were you wen we didn't sell out 3 of 4 games in a playoff clinching series against the Twins? We had 18000 Thursday night.

The Pitt game is 10 times bigger than the Rays first playoff game.

We COULD be top 10, We will be opening Big East play, we'll be on national TV.

******* rediculous because I know most of you probably didn't even give two ***** about the Rays until this year.

I will be flying down to attend the Bulls game Thurs, and the Rays game on Friday.

Go Bulls and Go Rays

End rant.

Agreed. If i had my choice id be at the usf game.

Unfortunately ill be missing BOTH games because of a ******* thursday night class that i cant miss. Im such an idiot for signing up for that. What the hell was i thinking?

Who cares what anyone thinks about your level of hardcore fandom?  If you want to go to the Rays game go.  People that are giving others a hard time on here aren't Rays fans or like football better.  To each their own.  Quit being dicks about it.

I was actuallly there on that infamous Thursday night... but that's not the issue. I don't think you guys understand how much this tears me up inside. I've missed only a handful of USF games since I've been a student ('04-now) and even before that I was attending Bulls games when I was in HS.

But I have really been there since day 1 with the Rays (since the expansion draft where we took Tony Saunders and Q McCracken with our first two picks) and have been through it ALL with the Rays. I took a lot of crap and now it's time for me to see a dream come true.

I'm praying the game is @ 3 because I will attend both if given the chance

seriously guys...ease off!

last time I checked baseball is a sport, if you don't like it that's fine, but respect the fact that there are a lot of people, including many on here that do. I'm not talking about those people who have simply said it's not an issue cause they don't like baseball...I'm talking about those people who are attacking others for not being fans cause heaven forbid they like a sport that's not football

hopefully it'll be a 3:00 game so people could potentially make most of both games

yes the Rays have plenty of bandwagon fans like any team does, that doesn't make every fan a bandwagoner.

the fans of teams that aren't from tampa - I'm not touching that right now...there was another thread about this in the general sports forum and I said my piece there

Mag - even thought you're a dirty yankees fan I still love ya!  ;)

I think the problem started because some of the people caught up in Rays fever think that people should not live in the Bay area if they are not Rays fans. I think it is great that you were able to abandon your allegiances and jump on the Rays bandwagon but perhaps you could cut some slack to the people far too few people left in this country that still have some loyalty or god forbid do not care about baseball. And please if you have to praise your lack of loyalty to whatever team you left behind in order to jump on the Rays bandwagon, do not go to your alma mater's message board to then brag about how you are now forsaking them.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
