I have no question where I'll be but for those that have been Rays fans since the beginning and it comes down to their first playoff game or the Pitt game I wouldn't blame them for going to the Rays game...unless of course it's someone I know in which case I'll rag on them until i have to miss a home game for some reason and they get the opportunity to give me a hard time

playoffs always take presedence over regular season for me though with college football it is a little different...and if it's going to a game vs watching it on TV going is going to win out 99% of the time...that's what score updates and TiVo are for

Yeah, sure, if you are 1 of the 1,000 rays fans from the beginning... I agree with everything you say, heh.

Again, thr Rays had less than 20000 at a game last week.

I guess those hard core been there since the beginning can't miss the first playoff game must have forgotten about that on..

exactly, it's a yawner to hear about all these 'lifelong' rays fans.  Tampa is a bandwagon town, and many of the fans are bandwagoners.  Going to the first playoff game is a novelty, a cool thing to tell casual people at parties.  I went to the Lightning's first playoff hockey game, I went to quite a few matches during their Stanley Cup run and I hate hockey, hell I wouldn't miss a Ray's game when they were 60-100 to see a Lightning Stanley Cup game is how indifferent I am to that sport.

If anyone goes to the playoff game in lieu of the Bulls game, and then claims to be a 'diehard' Bull.  Grab your sack and walk away because you lost any right to whine or cheer on this board.  It's football first baby, maybe if this was Elon or UT-martin, but Pitt, a conference match, and in this season....walkaway because I don't want to hear it.  That's why they have 'series' and not one game winner take all anyway.  Football first, Bulls first is my motto, anyone that tries to spin it another way is simply a 'casual' Bulls fan in my book.

Sorry troof hurts. ;D

The hard core fans that have been there since the beginning number less than 10K, probably a lot less ... How hard is this for you to grasp??

I'm stuck right now trying to decide WTF to do if the Rays play on Thurs.

I've been through it all with the Rays... from the Quentin McCracken, Rolando Arrojo days all the way up till now. I can buy seats at $65 to go see a moment that I have dreamed of for years (Rays in the playoffs) or go watch USF play on national TV for free.

What the hell do I do?

I know I can prob still go to the rest of the Rays playoff games, so I'm leaning toward going to the Bulls game. But to think of me missing the first ever Rays playoff game makes me sick.

Any Rays / USF fans on here (esp. from raysbb.com) any advice on what the right move would be?

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
